Datastreet has been involved in several projects for national and international organizations. To protect our clients’ privacy we can’t give any details concerning them or the exact locations of their data centres.

Datastreet has made a significant contribution at the following projects:

  • Private trade organizations which are active at the stock exchange in London:

Several projects have been done/are planned in the nearby future:

Placing data centres with an expansion of a 24 hour rack. The difficulty of this was that the client has to use his data centre every morning at 09:00 AM, to represent himself at the stock. Down time of the data centres was only permitted from 07:00 PM until 08:00 AM.

  • Private trade organizations which are active at the stock exchange in Germany, Milan and Paris:

Setting up a new data centre in Frankfurt next to an existing data centre. This data centre had a faster supply to the fair in Frankfurt. Difficulty of this project was to transfer all the connections from the old to the new data centre. Expansion of the data centre facilities in Milan and Paris so the trading house can manifest stronger at the fair in Milan and Paris. Complex thing about this project was that after the close of the fair, batch processing was taking place. Hereby there was no question of downtime for the data centre, but rather phased downtime and migration to other servers and racks.

  • Internet / infrastructure provider:
Setting up of 3 data centres in the region of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. This data centre was using frequent microwave connections.  The power of this method was het quick setting up en moving of the data connections. If there is a new company and the required cables aren’t there for speed internet, use is made of this specific internet provider.
  • Transip provider :

Setting up a data centre, where al trans-Atlantic connections are coming in and are distributed over the European mainland.  This data centre must have the highest guaranteed availability. Because when a Trans Atlantic connection isn’t available this will have consequences for all services of worldwide service providers.

  • Worldwide Telecom provider:

Setting up and designing of 8 data centres spread over the European mainland. With the main data centre in Amsterdam. The requirement of this client was that the data centre was 8 hours available without commercial Electra. Because the financial in particular Jewish institutions used it. The need of availability is mostly there by financial institutions.
